St Albi Restaurant

An exciting new restaurant and fitout of a disused warehouse.

As we stood inside an empty, cold, concrete warehouse, we revelled at the possibility of transforming this uninspiring box into something fresh and exciting for the local community to enjoy and engage with.

That is what we see today, a thriving, unique bar, restaurant and cafe that pleasantly surprises its visitors from their arrival.

In our client’s words

Ian and his team at Skookom were the epitome of professionalism and a joy to work with. Together we achieved an outcome which exceeded all our expectations.

There were two very important elements that needed attention first, acoustics and warmth. Our clients experience in fashion came to the fore, and together with Cykel Architecture we created a custom interior that seperates the space into four distinct multi-use dining areas. This enabled us to create a warmth and cosiness that such vast spaces often lose, as well as the room to cater to a wide variety of customer experiences.

It is a groundbreaking establishment for Moonah which the locals, and more, have embraced.

“We started with a concrete warehouse shell and ended up with a beautiful restaurant. Thanks to the Skookom team”.

The Skookom team delivered St. Albi on time and on budget, this result doesn’t occur by accident.

Much of the outcome was achieved in conjunction with significant input from Ian and his team. A lot of the detail is a tribute to them.
